Post11/29/11--Donation Button

Slightly new stuff on the forum. You can access the 'real' homepage by hitting the Frontpage link on the home bar. On the Frontpage, there is now a brief welcome and a Paypal donate button. So if any kindhearted people happen to want to donate to the cause, they have a secure and easy way to do it.

Side note: I spent three hours yesterday watching Unreal Development Kit tutorials... My knowledge is coming along slowly ^_^ All I can really do right now, technically speaking, is make a level that opens a castle gate, run an elevator, and stuff like that, but that's a start at least.

Community Question: If we got an iOS dev license, it would be a waste to only use it for The End. What other ideas do you have for iOS games?

People seem to really love full open world games (or mostly so). For example: one of the spiderman games or prototype or something along those lines. a game with the ability to fairly easily get to the top of buildings and such, and a cool, abnormal way to get around. The more dynamic and flexible everything is, the better.

Maybe, after we finish AO, a interactive map that shows you what you would most likely be interested in (i. e. a person who bought/sold a bunch of stuff would see the prices for common goods or whatever goods he dealt in most often) Should we save fighting for only PC/Wii kind of stuff or no? If its a PC thing, then you can have things done that don't require the person guarding/fighting (sending supplies to another place, maybe with a hired guard [maybe NPC], etc)

Also just like to mention, people who Donate will receive a 'Donator' userbar under their name, to replace the member userbar. Unfortunately it doesn't really do anything, other than show what an amazing person you are <3

Except we have no way of knowing who donates. Unless they send us an email that tells us they donated, that we can verify through paypal.

We can also give them a rare in-game item.

Never thought of that! :O

@Cybie Their paypal address must be the same as the email they use for this site.

Maybe. A lot of kids share a paypal with their parents, but have a separate email address for their 'email.' And also most people who donate via paypal use a credit or bank card, not actually paypal.

Yeah, in games people tend to like killing things... I'm thinking of a small pixel art based zombie apocalypse, where one must protect their base to survive. The problem being we'd need something special that our game uses but no other game does... Because there are many ZA games around. Still an idea though.

Forget zombies. How about magically-gifted mutants? Don't have them act like zombies.
